MILK CHOCOLATE BUNDT CAKE
This is a family favorite I found from TOH. It's nice and chocolately and tastes just as well unfrosted as frosted. It also freezes well.

Steps:
- In a saucepan, heat the candy bar and chocolate syrup over low heat until melted.; set aside to cool.
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs, one at time, beating well after each addition.
- Stir in chocolate mixture and vanilla.
- Combine flour, salt and baking soda; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
- Pour into a greased and floured 10 inch fluted tube pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 65-70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean.
- Cool in pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes.
- Remove from pan and cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
Tips:
- To achieve a tender and moist crumb, use buttermilk instead of regular milk. Buttermilk's acidity reacts with the baking soda to give the cake a light and fluffy texture.
- Creaming together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy incorporates air into the mixture. This helps create a cake with a fine crumb and a tender texture.
- Gradually add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. This prevents the eggs from curdling and ensures they are evenly distributed throughout the batter.
- Sift the dry ingredients together before adding them to the wet ingredients. This ensures that they are evenly distributed and helps to prevent lumps in the batter.
- Do not overmix the batter. Overmixing can develop the gluten in the flour, resulting in a tough and dense cake.
- Bake the cake until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Overbaking can dry out the cake and make it crumbly.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before glazing. This helps the glaze to set properly and prevents it from running off the cake.
Conclusion:
This milk chocolate bundt cake is a delicious and indulgent treat that is perfect for any occasion. With its moist and tender crumb, rich chocolate flavor, and decadent glaze, this cake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. Follow the tips above to ensure your cake turns out perfectly every time.
