1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 tablespoons unsalted butter (divided)
1 small shallot (minced)
1/2 cup dry white wine (or low-sodium chicken stock or broth)

Juice half of the lemon over the top and slice the other half into wedges for serving. Add the rosemary and parsley, then toss to combine. Serve immediately with lemon wedges.

  • Use fresh or frozen shrimp: Fresh shrimp is ideal, but frozen shrimp works well too. If using frozen shrimp, thaw them completely before cooking.
  • Choose the right size shrimp: Medium or large shrimp are best for this recipe. Smaller shrimp will cook too quickly and may become tough.
  • Don't overcrowd the shrimp: Cook the shrimp in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Overcrowding will prevent the shrimp from cooking evenly.
  • Use a microwave-safe bowl: Make sure the bowl you use is microwave-safe. A glass or ceramic bowl works well.
  • Cook the shrimp for the correct amount of time: The cooking time will vary depending on the size of the shrimp and the power of your microwave. Start with the recommended cooking time and adjust as needed.
