CEREAL TREATS I

Cereal Treats I image

This version has no chocolate topping, but it would be easy to melt chocolate chips and spread them over the top. We have a nut allergy in our family and I omit the peanut butter and substitute 1/2 cup of butterscotch chips melted with the margarine instead.

Tips:

  • Use fresh marshmallows for the best results. Stale marshmallows can make the treats tough and chewy.
  • If you don't have a microwave-safe bowl, you can use a regular bowl and heat the mixture in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until the marshmallows are melted and smooth.
  • Be careful not to overcook the mixture. If it is overcooked, the treats will be tough and chewy.
  • Add your favorite mix-ins, such as chocolate chips, nuts, or dried fruit, to the mixture before stirring in the Cheerios.
  • Let the treats cool completely before cutting them into bars. This will help them to set properly.

Conclusion:

Microwave Cheerio Treats are a quick and easy snack or dessert that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. They are made with a few simple ingredients and can be customized to your liking. So next time you're looking for a tasty and satisfying treat, give Microwave Cheerio Treats a try!
