Number Of Ingredients 5

4 cups water
1/2 cup sugar
6 Meyer lemons, thinly sliced
2 rosemary sprigs
4 1/2 cups sparkling water, chilled

Steps:

  • Bring water and sugar to a boil in a large saucepan, stirring until sugar dissolves. Add lemons and rosemary. Reduce heat, and simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand for 20 minutes. Strain. Return to pan, and boil until reduced by half, about 5 minutes. Let cool completely. Fill each of 6 glasses with 3/4 cup sparkling water. Stir 1/4 cup syrup into each.

Tips:

  • Choose the right lemons. Meyer lemons are the best choice for this spritzer because they are sweeter and less acidic than regular lemons. If you can't find Meyer lemons, you can use regular lemons, but you may want to add a little bit of sugar to taste.
  • Use fresh rosemary. Fresh rosemary has a more intense flavor than dried rosemary. If you only have dried rosemary, use about half the amount.
  • Make sure the water is cold. Cold water will help to keep the spritzer refreshing.
  • Serve the spritzer immediately. This spritzer is best enjoyed fresh. If you need to make it ahead of time, store it in the refrigerator for up to 2 hours.

Conclusion:

This Meyer lemon rosemary spritzer is a refreshing and flavorful drink that is perfect for any occasion. It is easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. If you are looking for a new summer drink to try, this spritzer is a great option.
