Steps:
- Using your hands, squeeze excess liquid from pico de gallo.
- Mix all ingredients together.
- I use my hands as it tends to blend the ingredients better.
- Form into burgers (size is your choice).
- NOTE: The burgers will be very moist but should not fall apart, you will need a spatula to set them on the grill if you are not cooking on stovetop.
- Cook and enjoy with your favorite condiments.
- I grill the buns for added taste.
- I also love to make my own fresh french frys and when I pull them out of the deep fryer I sprinkle them with Tony Cachera's Cajun seasoning.
- You can use store brand pico de gallo, I however make my own but also love the recipes that are on Zaar.
- I couldn't narrow it down to one recipe to refer you to, so please do a search for your choice of recipe.
- I admit, I have fallen in love with Yai-Yai's Garlic Sauce, it is a very strong wonderful sauce (http://www. ultimategarlic. com).
- You can use fresh micned garlic as well.
- As I love garlic, if I used fresh I would probably use 2 to 3 cloves at least.

Steps:
- For Pico: Combine all vegetables. Add lime juice, olive oil, salt, pepper, and cayenne, and stir. For best taste, allow to chill for an hour.
- For burgers: Mix all ingredients together except for salt and pepper, and form into six medium patties. Sprinkle freshly ground pepper and salt on both sides, to taste. Grill on medium high for about ten minutes, flipping once. Juice should run clear. For a fresh new take, serve burger bun-less with the pico. Or, serve on bun with monteray jack cheese and pico. Great with grilled pineapple and rice.
- NOTE: make sure the jalepenos are completely seeded, and that the white inner ribs have been removed.
MEXICAN TURKEY BURGERS WITH PICO DE GALLO
I serve this without the roll for a great low-carb meal. If you decide to use a roll, drain the Pico de Gallo before placing on top of the burger to prevent the bun from getting wet. Fresh cilantro is a must for the Pico de Gallo. While you may choose to use a little cooking spray, it is not necessary as the burgers, at first a little sticky, will firm up as they cook.

MEXICAN-INSPIRED TURKEY BURGERS
We love burgers on the grill, but turkey burgers can be bland and beef burgers can be fatty. To create these burgers, I used a spice combination from a taco recipe and then tinkered with cheeses and different toppings. -Heather Byers, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

Tips:
- Use fresh, high-quality ingredients: This will make a big difference in the flavor of your burgers. Look for ground turkey that is fresh and has a good amount of fat (at least 15%). Use ripe tomatoes, onions, and cilantro for the pico de gallo.
- Don't overmix the ground turkey: Overmixing can make the burgers tough. Just mix until the ingredients are evenly combined.
- Form the burgers gently: Use your hands to gently form the burgers into patties. Don't press down on them too hard, or they will be tough.
- Cook the burgers over medium heat: This will help to prevent them from drying out. Cook the burgers for about 4 minutes per side, or until they are cooked through.
- Serve the burgers immediately: The burgers are best served hot off the grill. Serve them on buns with your favorite toppings, such as lettuce, tomato, onion, and cheese.
Conclusion:
These Mexican turkey burgers are a healthy and delicious alternative to traditional beef burgers. They are packed with flavor and are sure to be a hit at your next cookout. Serve them with your favorite toppings and enjoy!
