Tips:

  • Choose high-quality pork: Opt for a pork shoulder roast or pork tenderloin for the best flavor and texture.
  • Marinate the pork: Marinating the pork in a mixture of olive oil, garlic, oregano, and lemon juice helps to tenderize and infuse it with flavor.
  • Cook the pork slowly: Braising or roasting the pork over low heat allows it to cook evenly and develop a rich, tender texture.
  • Use a flavorful broth: The broth used to cook the orzo adds depth of flavor to the dish. Use a combination of chicken broth and vegetable broth for a well-rounded flavor.
  • Add vegetables and herbs: Incorporating vegetables such as tomatoes, onions, and zucchini adds color and nutrition to the dish. Fresh herbs like oregano, thyme, and basil enhance the Mediterranean flavors.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs and lemon wedges: Before serving, sprinkle the dish with freshly chopped parsley or cilantro and add lemon wedges for a bright, citrusy touch.
