Tips:

  • Mise en Place: Before you start cooking, make sure you have all your ingredients and equipment ready. This will help you stay organized and avoid scrambling.
  • Use High-Quality Ingredients: The quality of your ingredients will greatly impact the taste of your meatballs. Use fresh, flavorful ingredients and avoid using pre-packaged or processed foods.
  • Season Generously: Don't be afraid to season your meatballs well. A good rule of thumb is to use 1 teaspoon of salt and 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper per pound of meat.
  • Mix Gently: When mixing the meatball mixture, be gentle to avoid overworking the meat. Overworking the meat will make the meatballs tough.
  • Chill the Meatballs: Before cooking the meatballs, chill them for at least 30 minutes. This will help them hold their shape and prevent them from falling apart.
  • Cook the Meatballs Thoroughly: Make sure the meatballs are cooked all the way through before serving. The internal temperature of the meatballs should reach 165°F (74°C).
  • Serve with a Variety of Sauces: Meatballs can be served with a variety of sauces, such as tomato sauce, marinara sauce, or Alfredo sauce. You can also serve them with a simple dipping sauce, such as ketchup or mustard.
