An easy, delicious casserole. The first meal I ever made as a new bride and it was wonderful. Serve with a salad and rolls.

Number Of Ingredients 12

1 lb ground beef
1/2 c evaporated milk
2/3 c bread crumbs
1 tsp salt
1/8 tsp pepper
1 Tbsp butter
1 c sliced onion
1 can(s) (16 ounce) baked beans
1/8 tsp salt
2 Tbsp catsup
1/4 tsp dry mustard
1 Tbsp brown sugar (optional)

Steps:

  • 1. Mix ground beef, evaporated milk, bread crumbs, 1 tsp. salt, and pepper. With wet hands, shape into 1-1/2 inch balls.
  • 2. Brown in a large skillet in butter with onions.
  • 3. Cover, cook over low heat 10 minutes. Drain off fat, if any.
  • 4. Add mixture of baked beans, 1/8 tsp. salt, catsup, brown sugar and dry mustard. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
