**Grilled Marinated Swordfish: A Mediterranean Delight**
Indulge in the delectable flavors of the Mediterranean with our grilled marinated swordfish. This succulent fish, known for its firm texture and mild flavor, is elevated to new heights with a marinade that infuses it with aromatic herbs, zesty citrus, and a hint of spice. Grilled to perfection, the swordfish remains moist and flaky on the inside while developing a beautifully charred exterior. Accompanied by three tantalizing recipes – a classic marinade, a spicy harissa marinade, and a refreshing lemon-herb marinade – this grilled swordfish is a versatile dish that can be customized to suit your taste preferences. Whether you prefer bold and spicy flavors or a lighter, more herbaceous profile, these marinades will transform your swordfish into an unforgettable culinary experience.
SWORDFISH MARINATED IN LEMON, ROSEMARY AND GARLIC
Steps:
- Combine the lemon zest, oil, rosemary and garlic on a large, shallow platter or a tray large enough to hold the swordfish steaks in a single layer. Add the swordfish, sprinkle with salt and pepper and turn to coat with the marinade. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours.
- Brush the grill or broiler pan with a thin film of oil. Just before serving time, preheat the grill or broiler. Transfer the swordfish to grill or broiler pan, reserve the marinade left on the platter. If broiling, adjust the oven rack so that the tops of the fish are about 3 inches from the heat source. Grill or broil until lightly browned, 5 to 8 minutes, depending on the intensity of the heat. Using a spatula, carefully turn each steak. Spoon any marinade and pieces of lemon zest and rosemary onto the tops of the steaks. Broil until lightly browned and the center of the fish is opaque when tested with the tip of a knife, about 5 to 8 minutes. Serve garnished with capers and lemon wedges.
GRILLED ITALIAN MARINATED SWORDFISH
This is an excellent way to prepare swordfish. The fish turns out flavorful and moist. I made this dish one night paired with my Skillet Italian Herbed Country Potatoes and fresh corn on the cob. A delicious summertime meal! Please note preparation time does not include time required to marinate.

Place swordfish steaks into the marinade, and refrigerate for 1 hour, turning frequently. 2. Preheat an outdoor grill for high heat, and lightly oil the grate. 3. Grill swordfish steaks for 5 to 6 minutes on each side. Garnish with parsley and lemon wedges.
Tips:
- Choose the right swordfish. Look for fish that is firm to the touch, with no signs of bruising or discoloration. The flesh should be a deep pink or red color.
- Marinate the swordfish for at least 30 minutes. This will help to tenderize the fish and infuse it with flavor. Use a marinade that contains acidic ingredients, such as lemon juice or vinegar, to help break down the proteins in the fish.

- Serve the swordfish immediately. You can serve it with a variety of sides, such as roasted vegetables, rice, or salad.
Conclusion:
Swordfish is a delicious and versatile fish that can be cooked in a variety of ways. Marinating the fish before cooking helps to tenderize it and infuse it with flavor. Swordfish can be grilled, baked, or pan-fried. It is a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
