GREEK ISLAND CHICKEN SHISH KEBABS

Greek Island Chicken Shish Kebabs image

This is a nice change from the ordinary grilled chicken. This is excellent served with pita bread, a garlicky tzatziki, and a Greek salad. Lamb can be substituted for the chicken, and many variations on vegetables can be used.

MARINATED CHICKEN KABOBS

Marinated Chicken Kabobs image

This great summer recipe was given to me by a friend years ago. You can put any vegetables you want on the skewers. Don't be worried when you see the light corn syrup in the ingredients, it comes together great! It's a great change. You can even skip the vegetables and just skewer the chicken. Enjoy!

  • Use wooden skewers for the kabobs, as they will not burn as easily as metal skewers.
  • If you are using bamboo skewers, be sure to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before using, to prevent them from burning.
  • When grilling the kabobs, cook them over medium heat, so that they have time to cook through without burning.
  • Serve the kabobs with your favorite dipping sauce, such as tzatziki sauce, hummus, or tahini sauce.

Conclusion:

Marinated Greek chicken kabobs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a summer cookout or party.
