Tips and Conclusion

  • Select the finest salmon fillets: Start with fresh, high-quality salmon fillets. Choose wild-caught salmon for its superior flavor and texture.
  • Prepare your marinade: Combine soy sauce, maple syrup, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil to create a flavorful marinade. Allow the salmon to soak up the marinade's goodness for at least 30 minutes.
  • Grill or pan-sear to perfection: Whether using a grill or a pan, ensure the cooking surface is hot before placing the salmon fillets. Grill the salmon over medium heat for about 8-10 minutes per side, or pan-sear for 4-5 minutes per side. The salmon should flake easily with a fork when done.
  • Baste with the teriyaki glaze: During the last few minutes of cooking, baste the salmon with the reserved teriyaki glaze. This will add a glossy sheen and infuse the salmon with even more flavor.
