MAPLE-GLAZED SALMON

Maple-Glazed Salmon image

Delicious maple-glazed salmon is a little on the sweet side, but not too much. The whole house smells wonderful when this is cooking; it's a great warm winter meal! I have a hard time finding good recipes my family likes with fish, since my husband is not fond of lemon. This is a perfect compromise!

1/4 cup pure maple syrup

Tips:

  • Choose the right salmon: For best results, use a wild-caught, skin-on salmon fillet. Wild-caught salmon has a more intense flavor and firmer texture than farm-raised salmon.
  • Make sure the salmon is properly cooked: Salmon should be cooked to an internal temperature of 145 degrees Fahrenheit. Overcooked salmon will be dry and tough.
  • Use a good quality maple syrup: The quality of the maple syrup you use will make a big difference in the flavor of the glaze. Look for a pure maple syrup that is Grade A or higher.
  • Don't overcook the glaze: The glaze should be cooked until it is slightly thickened and bubbly, but not too thick. Overcooked glaze will be hard and brittle.
  • Serve the salmon immediately: Salmon is best served immediately after it is cooked. Leftover salmon can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days, but it will lose some of its flavor and texture.

Conclusion:

Maple glazed salmon with pineapple is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal. The salmon is cooked to perfection and the maple glaze adds a sweet and savory flavor. The pineapple adds a tropical touch to the dish. This dish is sure to please everyone at your table.
