5 bacon strips, chopped
1 pound fresh Brussels sprouts, trimmed
3 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/4 cup chopped pecans
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper

Steps:

  • In a small skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crisp. Remove to paper towels with a slotted spoon; drain., Meanwhile, cut an "X" in the core of each Brussels sprout. 4 pork loin chops (about 5 ounces each)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons peanut or olive oil
1 cup maple syrup
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 teaspoons minced fresh ginger
2 cups frozen Brussels sprouts, thawed

Steps:

  • Season both sides of pork with salt and black pepper. Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add pork to hot pan and cook 2 minutes per side, until golden brown.
