MAPLE BREAKFAST SAUSAGE

Maple Breakfast Sausage image

Homemade breakfast sausage made with ground pork and seasonings. Great cooked in crumbles for biscuits and gravy, or in patties for breakfast sandwiches or eggs benedict. I like to premake a large batch and freeze the patties, then just take out a few the night before.

Tips:

  • Fresh Ingredients: For the best flavor, use fresh ingredients whenever possible. Fresh fennel and maple syrup will provide the most vibrant flavors.
  • Seasoning: Don't be afraid to adjust the seasonings to your taste. If you like more heat, add an extra pinch of cayenne pepper. If you prefer a sweeter sausage, add a bit more maple syrup.
  • Cooking Temperature: Keep an eye on the sausage patties as they cook. They should be cooked through but not overcooked, as this will make them dry and tough.
  • Serving Suggestions: Maple fennel sausage patties can be served for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They're great on their own, or you can serve them with eggs, pancakes, or waffles. They can also be used in sandwiches, wraps, or salads.

Conclusion:

They're easy to make and packed with flavor, thanks to the combination of sweet maple syrup and aromatic fennel. Whether you're serving them for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, these sausage patties are sure to be a hit.
