Time 15m

Yield 1 cup

Number Of Ingredients 6

1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 medium shallots, minced
1/4 cup toasted chopped pecans
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon chopped fresh thyme
1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Sauté shallots in one tablespoon of the butter until caramelized and almost crisp, and allow to cool.
  • Fold all ingredients together and chill.
  • When almost firm, place flavored butter onto wax paper and roll into a log.
  • Seal in plastic wrap and refrigerate or freeze until needed (can cut off portions of the roll and keep the rest frozen).
  • Let butter soften before using for best flavor.

Tips:

  • Use quality ingredients: The better the ingredients, the better the shake will taste. Use real maple syrup, unsalted butter, and fresh pecans.
  • Chill your ingredients: This will help the shake be thick and creamy. Chill the milk, ice cream, and maple syrup before blending.
  • Don't overcrowd the blender: If you have too many ingredients in the blender, it will be difficult to get a smooth shake. Blend the ingredients in batches if necessary.
  • Start with a low speed: Gradually increase the speed of the blender until the shake is smooth. This will help prevent the shake from becoming too frothy.
  • Add a garnish: A dollop of whipped cream, a sprinkling of chopped pecans, or a drizzle of maple syrup can make your shake look and taste even better.

Conclusion:

The maple butter pecan shake is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for any occasion. With its creamy texture, sweet and nutty flavor, and beautiful presentation, this shake is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it. So next time you're looking for a refreshing and satisfying drink, give the maple butter pecan shake a try. You won't be disappointed!
