MANWICH (COPYCAT)

I really dig Manwich, but the canned stuff gives me the tummy ache sometimes. When I found this clone recipe, I decided to try it to see if it gave me the tummy ache too. NOPE!! I was pleased! It may take a little more effort than opening a can, but for me, it's worth it. Also, you know this stuff is fresh and you never know how long that other stuff has been in a can.

Tips:

  • Choose lean ground beef for a healthier meatloaf. You can also use a mixture of ground beef and ground pork or ground turkey if you prefer.
  • Use fresh breadcrumbs instead of dried breadcrumbs for a more moist meatloaf.
  • Add some chopped vegetables to the meatloaf mixture, such as onions, carrots, celery, or zucchini. This will add flavor and moisture to the meatloaf.
  • Don't overmix the meatloaf mixture. Overmixing can make the meatloaf tough.
  • Use a loaf pan that is the right size for the amount of meatloaf mixture you have. A loaf pan that is too big will result in a thin, dry meatloaf.
  • Bake the meatloaf in a preheated oven. This will help the meatloaf cook evenly.
  • Glaze the meatloaf with Manwich sauce during the last 15 minutes of baking. This will give the meatloaf a nice, shiny crust.
  • Let the meatloaf rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. This will help the meatloaf hold its shape.

Conclusion:

Manwich Saucy Meatloaf is a delicious and easy-to-make meal that is perfect for a weeknight dinner. The Manwich sauce gives the meatloaf a tangy, flavorful crust, and the meatloaf itself is moist and juicy. This recipe is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
