PINEAPPLE, ORANGE, MANGO, BANANA SMOOTHIE

Pineapple, Orange, Mango, Banana Smoothie image

I make this delkcious smoothie every single morning, and not only is it an extremely healthy way to start the day but it's also very quick & simple to make! The added protein powder replaces any high-calorie protein that you might normally have on the morning (eggs, bacon, sausage, etc) and it will help keep you full longer than if it were just a pure fruit smoothie. I buy the frozen pineapple and mango chunks from Costco, and each week I buy a bunch of ripe bananas and peel them, cut them in half and throw them in a bag in the freezer. Then it takes me less than 5 mins to make it in the morning. And this has also replaced my morning coffee habit of 2 cups a day because I add 1/8 tsp of caffeine powder to it as well.

Provided by lakecar

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 cup of frozen mango, cut into small chunks
1 cup of frozen pineapple, cut into small chunks
3/4 of a ripe banana (just munch on the 1/4 left as you are prepping your smoothie!)
2/3 cup Greek yogurt
1 1/2 cup of orange juice

Steps:

  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately. Voila!

Tips:

  • Use frozen fruits: Frozen fruits are more concentrated in flavor and nutrients than fresh fruits. They also make the smoothie thicker and creamier.
  • Add a scoop of protein powder: Protein powder can help boost the nutritional value of the smoothie and make it more filling.
  • Add a tablespoon of chia seeds or flaxseed: Chia seeds and flaxseed are both excellent sources of omega-3 fatty acids, which are essential for good health.
  • Sweeten the smoothie with honey or maple syrup: If you find the smoothie too tart, you can add a little sweetener. Honey and maple syrup are both natural sweeteners that will not add any refined sugar to the smoothie.
  • Garnish the smoothie with fresh fruit or nuts: A garnish can make the smoothie more visually appealing and add extra flavor.

Conclusion:

The mango, pineapple, banana, and orange smoothie is a delicious and nutritious way to start your day or refuel after a workout. It is packed with vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. The smoothie is also a good source of fiber, which can help keep you feeling full and satisfied.
