Provided by Sunny Anderson

Time 1h10m

Yield about 5 cups

Number Of Ingredients 8

2 peaches, peeled and medium diced
1 mango, peeled and medium diced
1/2 cup chopped red onion
1 jalapeno, seeded and finely chopped
1 teaspoon fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Salt and freshly ground black pepper

Steps:

  • Toss all the peaches, mango, onions, jalapeno, lime juice, oil and cilantro together in a large bowl. Season with salt and pepper and refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
  • Cook's Note: If the fruit is under-ripe, toss with some lime juice and 1 tablespoon sugar. Set aside to macerate for 15 minutes before adding the other ingredients and refrigerating.

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use ripe mangoes and peaches. If your fruit is not ripe, you can speed up the ripening process by placing it in a paper bag with an apple or banana.
  • If you don't have fresh fruit, you can use frozen fruit instead. Just be sure to thaw it completely before using.
  • Add a little bit of heat to your salsa by using a jalapeño or serrano pepper. You can also add some chopped cilantro or mint for a refreshing flavor.
  • Serve your salsa immediately or chill it for later. It will keep in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Conclusion:

Mango and peach salsa is a delicious and easy-to-make salsa that is perfect for any occasion. It is a great way to use up fresh fruit and it is also a healthy and refreshing snack. So next time you are looking for a quick and easy appetizer or side dish, give this mango and peach salsa a try!
