SWEDISH ALMOND TUSKS (MANDELSKORPOR)
From Toronto Star website Cardamom is a highly aromatic spice popular in Scandinavian baking. Since you are unlikely to use it often, I recommend buying exactly what you need at a bulk store. Cooking time includes resting time and cooling time between steps. These cookies are very hard so be sure to serve them with a beverage ie milk or coffee

Tips:
- For the best results, use blanched almonds. Blanching removes the skins, making the almonds more tender and flavorful.
- If you don't have a food processor, you can chop the almonds by hand. Just be sure to chop them very finely.
- Be careful not to overmix the dough. Overmixing will make the cookies tough.
- If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour. If the dough is too dry, add a little more butter.
- Bake the cookies until they are golden brown and firm to the touch.
- Let the cookies cool completely before slicing them. This will help prevent them from crumbling.
- Mandelskorpor are best served fresh, but they can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
- You can also freeze mandelskorpor for up to 2 months. To freeze, place the cookies in a single layer in a freezer-safe bag. When you're ready to serve, thaw the cookies at room temperature for 30 minutes.
Conclusion:
Mandelskorpor are a delicious and easy-to-make Swedish cookie. They're perfect for any occasion, and they're sure to be a hit with your friends and family. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give mandelskorpor a try!
