- 1. In a large, deep sided skillet brown the ground beef and the sausage, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain off the grease and lower the heat to medium. Add in the onion and garlic and cook for 5 minutes.
- 2. Stir in the worcestershire, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes with juice and seasonings. Add the broth, water and uncooked elbow macaroni. Stir to combine, cover and cook till noodles are tender, about 7-8 minutes. Turn off the heat, uncover and top with the cheese. Cover back up and let it sit till the cheese is nice and melted.

- Start a pot of water and cook pasta according to the package directions. At the same time add next three ingredients to a hot skillet, breaking up the ground beef. Salt to taste. Cook in hot skillet about 3 minutes, stirring to break up the ground beef to a desired size. Reduce heat to medium and continue to cook until meat is done and any water released is evaporated. Add the can of tomatoes, with juice, and reduce heat to medium-low. Simmer while the pasta cooks. Pepper to taste at this point. Drain pasta thoroughly and return to pot. Add contents of skillet to pot and mix lightly. Cover pot and let Mama Mary's Goulash rest for a bit, then serve.
