Tips:
- Use a variety of vegetables in your casserole, such as chopped peppers, onions, mushrooms, or spinach. This will add flavor and nutrients to the dish.
- If you are using raw vegetables, be sure to cook them before adding them to the casserole. This will help to ensure that they are cooked through and safe to eat.
- Season the casserole generously with salt and pepper. You can also add other herbs and spices, such as garlic powder, onion powder, or paprika.
- Use a good quality cheese that melts well. Some good options include cheddar, mozzarella, or Swiss cheese.
- If you are using a breadcrumb topping, be sure to butter the breadcrumbs before adding them to the casserole. This will help them to brown and crisp up in the oven.
- Bake the casserole until it is golden brown and bubbly. The cooking time will vary depending on the size and depth of your casserole dish.
