MAGICAL DISAPPEARING POPPY SEED GARLIC FRENCH BREAD
This bread goes well with a wide variety of menus. A word of caution though: Make sure teenage males come at the end of the buffet line when serving this bread, for they seem to inhale it. In fact, you may want to make two loaves, doubling what would be a normal portion, for this always disappears!

Tips:
- For the best results, use fresh poppy seeds. If you only have access to pre-ground poppy seeds, toast them in a dry skillet over medium heat for a few minutes to enhance their flavor.
- To easily separate the eggs, crack them into a small bowl and use the eggshells to transfer the yolks to a separate bowl. This will help prevent any bits of eggshell from getting into your recipe.
- When adding the garlic butter to the bread dough, be sure to spread it evenly over the entire surface. This will ensure that every bite of bread is bursting with garlic flavor.
- If you don't have a bread machine, you can still make this recipe by hand. Simply follow the instructions for making the dough by hand, then shape it into a loaf and bake it according to the recipe instructions.
- This bread is best served fresh out of the oven, but it can also be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or in the freezer for up to 2 months.
