2 onions, small, chopped
3 carrots, sliced
1/4 c butter

1 tsp salt

  • 3. Season with marjoram, salt, and pepper. Pour in the chicken broth.
  • 4. Cover slow cooker, and cook soup 7 hours on Low.

Tips:

  • Soak the lima beans overnight: This will help to reduce the cooking time and make the beans more tender.
  • Use a variety of vegetables: This will add flavor and nutrition to the soup. Some good options include carrots, celery, onions, and garlic.
  • Add some herbs and spices: This will help to give the soup a more complex flavor. Some good options include thyme, rosemary, bay leaves, and black pepper.
  • Don't overcook the beans: Lima beans can become mushy if they are overcooked. Cook them just until they are tender.
