Time 35m

Yield 4 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 6

8 fresh sage leaves
8 chicken tenders or 1 1/4 lbs chicken tenders
salt
fresh ground black pepper
8 slices bacon (thin type slices or thin bacon)
1/2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil

Steps:

  • Season tenders with salt and pepper. Place a sage leaf on each chicken tender, then wrap each with a bacon slice.
  • In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high. Add tenders, sage side down, and cook until fat is rendered and bacon is browned, about 6 minutes. Flip and cook until tenders are cooked through, 6 minutes. With tongs, transfer to a wire rack set on a rimmed baking sheet to drain.

Tips:

  • Use thick-cut bacon: This will help to keep the chicken tenders moist and juicy.
  • Don't overcook the chicken: Cook the chicken tenders until they are just cooked through, or they will become dry and tough.
  • Use a variety of seasonings: This will help to add flavor to the chicken tenders.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce: Ranch dressing, blue cheese dressing, or barbecue sauce are all great options.

Conclusion:

Low-carb bacon-wrapped chicken tenders are a quick and easy weeknight meal that is sure to please the whole family. They are also a great way to use up leftover chicken. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have a delicious and satisfying meal on the table in no time.
