Tips:

  • Use high-quality ingredients: The better the quality of your ingredients, the better your dish will taste. Use fresh, flavorful vegetables, and high-quality cheese and ham.
  • Don't overcook the pasta: Linguine should be cooked al dente, or slightly firm to the bite. Overcooked pasta will be mushy and unpleasant.
  • Make the cheese sauce ahead of time: The cheese sauce can be made up to 3 days in advance and stored in the refrigerator. This will save you time when you're ready to make the dish.
  • Use a good quality white wine: The white wine used in the sauce should be of good quality. A dry white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc or Pinot Grigio, will work well.
  • Season the sauce to taste: The amount of salt, pepper, and nutmeg you add to the sauce will depend on your personal preferences. Taste the sauce and adjust the seasonings as needed.

Conclusion:

This linguine with ham and cheese sauce is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a weeknight meal.
