LIME SHERBET MARGARITAS

Lime Sherbet Margaritas image

AHHH COME ON NOW, it's hot out there and we all need a refreshing libation. I do believe this would be just the ticket to help cool our fevered brows. I found this recipe at Better Recipes. ENJOY! PS Just don't drink it to fast as you could possibly develop a BRAIN FREEZE!

Provided by CC MCCART-FROST

Categories     Ice Cream Drinks

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

1 pt lime sherbet
juice of 2 limes
8 oz tequila
4 oz triple sec
2 c ice cubes

Steps:

  • 1. Put all ingredients in blender, and blend until frothy. Serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Use fresh limes: Fresh limes will give your sherbet the best flavor. If you can't find fresh limes, you can use bottled lime juice, but the flavor will be less intense.
  • Zest the limes before juicing them: The zest of the limes contains a lot of flavor, so it's important to zest the limes before juicing them. You can use a microplane or a vegetable peeler to zest the limes.
  • Use a blender or food processor: You can use either a blender or a food processor to make lime sherbet. If you're using a blender, be sure to blend the mixture until it is smooth and creamy. If you're using a food processor, pulse the mixture until it is smooth and creamy.
  • Chill the sherbet before serving: Lime sherbet is best served chilled. You can chill the sherbet in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or you can freeze it for up to 2 weeks.

Conclusion:

Lime sherbet is a refreshing and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. It's easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. Whether you're looking for a cool treat on a hot summer day or a refreshing dessert after a meal, lime sherbet is a great option.
