DANISH LIMA BEANS
This is a great recipe for lima beans when you don't want just the normal ones. If at all possible, look for danish blue cheese, which has a slightly milder flavor and is heavily laced with the greenish-blue veins.

- Bake for 2 1/2 hours. If the bacon starts browning too fast, reduce heat to 225 degrees and extend the baking time by 1 hour.

Tips:
- Choose fresh lima beans. Look for bright green beans that are plump and firm. Avoid beans that are wrinkled or discolored.
- Soak the beans overnight before cooking. This will help to reduce the cooking time and make the beans more digestible.
- Season the beans well. Lima beans have a mild flavor, so it's important to season them well with salt, pepper, and other herbs and spices.
- Don't overcook the beans. Lima beans should be cooked until they are tender but still have a slight bite to them. Overcooked beans will be mushy and lose their flavor.
- Serve the beans immediately. Lima beans are best served fresh out of the oven. If you need to make them ahead of time, you can reheat them gently in the oven or microwave.
Conclusion:
Lima bean blue cheese bake is a delicious and easy-to-make side dish that is perfect for any occasion. The lima beans are creamy and tender, and the blue cheese adds a sharp and tangy flavor. This dish is sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
