Tips for the Best Lickety-Split Lemon Bread:
- Use fresh lemons for the best flavor. If you don't have fresh lemons, you can use bottled lemon juice, but the flavor will be slightly less bright.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing can make the bread tough.
- Bake the bread until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. If the toothpick comes out with wet batter, the bread needs to bake longer.
- Let the bread cool completely before frosting it. This will help the frosting set properly.
- If you don't have time to make the frosting, you can simply sprinkle the bread with powdered sugar.
Conclusion:
Lickety-split lemon bread is a quick and easy recipe that is perfect for any occasion. It's moist, flavorful, and has a delightful lemon flavor. The frosting is the perfect finishing touch, but the bread is also delicious without it. So next time you're looking for a sweet treat, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
