  • Measuring Ingredients Accurately: Use a kitchen scale to measure ingredients, especially flour and sugar, for precise results.
  • Proper Mixing: Mix the dry ingredients thoroughly before adding the wet ingredients. Overmixing can result in tough cookies.
  • Chilling the Dough: Chilling the dough for at least 30 minutes helps the flavors develop and prevents the cookies from spreading too much.
  • Rolling the Dough: Use a lightly floured rolling pin to roll out the dough evenly. Aim for a thickness of 1/8 inch.
  • Cutting the Cookies: Use a sharp cookie cutter to cut the dough into desired shapes. Make sure the cookie cutter is dipped in flour to prevent sticking.
  • Baking the Cookies: Bake the cookies in a preheated oven at the specified temperature. Avoid overbaking, as this can make the cookies dry and crumbly.
  • Cooling the Cookies: Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before storing or serving. This helps prevent the cookies from becoming soggy.
