Tips:

  • Use fresh lemon zest for the best flavor. If you don't have a zester, you can use a microplane grater.
  • Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will make the waffles tough.
  • Let the batter rest for a few minutes before cooking. This will allow the gluten to relax and make the waffles lighter and fluffier.
  • Cook the waffles on a hot waffle iron. This will help them to cook evenly and crispy.
  • Serve the waffles warm with your favorite toppings. Some popular toppings include butter, syrup, fruit, and whipped cream.

Conclusion:

Lemon poppy seed Belgian waffles are a delicious and easy-to-make breakfast treat. They're perfect for a special occasion or a weekend brunch. With their light and fluffy texture, bright lemon flavor, and crunchy poppy seeds, these waffles are sure to be a hit with everyone who tries them.
