SWEET & SPICY BACON WRAPPED PORK RIBS

Sweet & Spicy Bacon Wrapped Pork Ribs image

Pork ribs coated in spices to give them a little heat, then wrapped in bacon and rolled in brown sugar. Cooked low and slow on the grill or in your oven. Moist, tender ribs in a coating of sweet and salty bacon.

Categories     Pork

Time 2h20m

Number Of Ingredients 7

2.5 pounds Country Style Pork Ribs (about 8 ribs)
16 slices of bacon (two slices for each rib)
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
3 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 cups brown sugar (I used dark - either is fine)

Steps:

  • Preheat grill or smoker to 275 degrees.
  • Make seasoning mix by combining peppers, salt, and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  • Lay ribs in a 9x13 aluminum pan. Sprinkle both the top and the bottom of each rib with spice mix. Reserve a small amount.
  • Wrap each rib with two slices of bacon, placing them back into the pan, seam side down.
  • Sprinkle remaining seasoning over the top of the bacon.
  • Sprinkle the brown sugar on top of the bacon evenly.
  • Place the pan on your grill over indirect heat. (only turn burner on one part of the grill) Let them "smoke" for 2 hours. They will make an amazing glaze while they do.
  • Check internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Pork ribs should be 145 degrees F. in the center. Remove from grill.
  • Turn grill up to 325 degrees and place each rib on direct heat, grilling them until the bacon crisps. Brushing with the glaze as you do. This will only take a couple of minutes. No need to worry about the ribs getting overdone.
  • Let meat rest for 3 minutes before serving.

Time 25m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 ½ pound country style boneless pork ribs (one slab)
salt and pepper to taste (or 7:2:2 seasoning)
1-2 teaspoon oil
1 tablespoon BBQ sauce

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 350° convection or 375° conventional oven. Trim one slab (about 1 1/2 lb) country-style boneless ribs of fat cap and any silverskin.
  • Deepen the cuts to a little over half the thickness of the slab.
  • Heat a cast-iron skillet or another oven-safe pan with a teaspoon or two of oil over medium-high heat. Place in the pan and sear for 2-3 minutes per side. Get near the final color you want when done.
  • Remove from heat and brush the top (not the bottom) generously with BBQ sauce of your choice. Be sure to get the slices.
  • Place in the oven and bake until internal temp of about 145°-150°. About 15 minutes, but time will vary some. Let rest for 5 minutes before cutting.

BONELESS COUNTRY STYLE PORK RIBS

Boneless Country Style Pork Ribs image

These tender, boneless country-style pork ribs are cooked low and slow for over 2 hours then slathered in your favorite BBQ sauce! Perfect for dinner, weekend lunches, or get-togethers, these ribs will definitely be one of your most requested meals!

Provided by Angela

Categories     BBQ     Dinner Recipes     Main Dish     Pork Dishes

Time 2h40m

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 1/2 lbs country style pork ribs ((boneless))
1/2 tsp each, salt & pepper ((to taste))
2 Tbsp apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup BBQ sauce ((or more, as desired))

Steps:

  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and trim any excess fat cap (an even layer of thick fat) from your boneless country style pork ribs as needed.
  • Season both sides of the country style ribs with salt and pepper, then arrange them on a couple of sheets of aluminum foil (large enough sheets to wrap around your pork ribs and seal securely). Place the foil with the ribs into a baking dish or onto a rimmed baking sheet.
  • Create the 'pouch' around your seasoned country style ribs, pulling up the sides so it will hold in the liquid, then pour the apple cider vinegar over the ribs. Seal the aluminum foil securely.
  • Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 2 hours or until your pork ribs are fork tender (small 4 ounce ribs may cook quickly, and large 10 ounce ribs may take a bit longer).
  • Remove from the oven and open the aluminum foil carefully (vent the steam away from your body!). Transfer the pork ribs to a clean sheet of aluminum foil and drain the fat from your baking dish or sheet pan, then discard the used aluminum foil.
  • Move the ribs back into your baking dish and coat all sides of the pork ribs generously with the BBQ sauce. Return to the oven and bake uncovered for an additional 20 minutes.
  • Remove from the oven when done and allow the pork ribs to rest for 10 minutes before serving. Slather with more BBQ sauce if desired.

FINGER-LICKIN' COUNTRY STYLE BONELESS BEEF (OR PORK) RIBS

Finger-Lickin' Country Style Boneless Beef (Or Pork) Ribs image

These are some great tasting, finger-lickin' ribs! Boil 'em and then grill 'em (or you may finish them in the oven, if you prefer), then serve 'em with extra Q sauce for dipping. Simple and easy recipe, with NO heating up of the kitchen from a hot oven, which is an added bonus especially in the hot summertime. Recipe is from my Southern born and raised sis-in-law, Patricia Ellen. Thought I'd share with y'all, I hope you enjoy. Serve with some corn bread or buttered rolls, beans and slaw.

Time 2h5m

Yield 6 serving(s)

Number Of Ingredients 2

2 1/2-3 lbs boneless beef ribs (or pork)
16 ounces barbecue sauce (I use a bottle of Hunt's Original or Hickory Brown Sugar)

  • Place the ribs in an 8-quart stockpot. Add enough water to cover ribs. Mix in about 1 cup barbecue sauce to the water.
  • Cover, and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat. Simmer covered for 2 hours, until ribs are tender.
  • Preheat grill to medium.
  • Remove ribs from water and place in a large bowl. Drench the ribs in additional barbecue sauce.

Tips:

  • Select high-quality pork ribs: Opt for boneless country-style pork ribs that are thick and meaty, ensuring a tender and flavorful result.
  • Tenderize the ribs: For extra tender ribs, consider marinating them in a mixture of lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, and herbs for at least 30 minutes before cooking.
  • Don't overcrowd the pan: When searing the ribs, make sure not to overcrowd the pan. Sear them in batches if necessary to prevent steaming and ensure a nice sear.
  • Cook the ribs thoroughly: Use a meat thermometer to ensure the ribs have reached an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C). This will ensure that they are cooked through and safe to consume.
  • Let the ribs rest: After cooking, allow the ribs to rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving. This helps the juices redistribute, resulting in more tender and flavorful meat.
