Tips for Making Perfect Lemon Pecan Slices

  • To achieve a golden brown crust, bake the lemon pecan slices until the edges are slightly browned.
  • For a more pronounced lemon flavor, use freshly squeezed lemon juice and zest.
  • If you don't have buttermilk, you can make your own by adding 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice to a cup of regular milk and letting it sit for 5 minutes.
  • To prevent the glaze from becoming too runny, mix in a little powdered sugar or cornstarch until it reaches the desired consistency.
