LEMON LIME SLUSH

Lemon Lime Slush image

This recipe is from my Kitchen Chatter Cook book Number 1 that I published in 1982. This can be made with other flavors of frozen juices - just exchange the ones listed or just one and add another in it's place. I like cranberry/lemon too! Also the type of liquor you use can be changed just use the same amount of whatever...

Time 10m

Number Of Ingredients 5

12 oz can of frozen lemonade
12 oz bottle of light rum or vodka or about 3 cups
12 oz can of frozen lineade
24 oz water
36 oz 7-up plus more on hand when time to serve

Steps:

  • 1. Combine lemonade, limeade, water and rum or whatever liquor you are going to use in a plastic ice cream bucket or large Tupperware container.
  • 2. Slowly pour in the 7-UP. gently stir until all is combine and dissolved. Place in freezer until ready to use. Usually overnight.
  • 3. When ready to serve scoop some out into glass of choice-(I like Mason jars)about 1/2 full of slush and add additional 7-UP to the top- stir to mix and Enjoy. Keep bucket in the freezer, if any is left.LOL
  • 4. cranberry

Tips:

  • Use fresh lemons and limes: Fresh citrus fruits provide the best flavor for this slush.
  • Juice the lemons and limes yourself: Bottled or store-bought citrus juice often contains additives and preservatives that can alter the taste of the slush.
  • Use a blender with a powerful motor: This will help to ensure that the slush is smooth and icy.
  • Don't over-blend the slush: Over-blending can make the slush too watery.
  • Serve the slush immediately: Lemon-lime slush is best enjoyed fresh.

Conclusion:

Lemon-lime slush is a refreshing and delicious summer treat that is easy to make at home. With just a few simple ingredients, you can enjoy a cool and refreshing slush that is perfect for any occasion. So next time you're looking for a cool and refreshing drink, give this lemon-lime slush a try. You won't be disappointed!
