Tips:
- Choose ripe and juicy lemons: The quality of the lemons used greatly impacts the taste of the dessert. Pick lemons that are heavy for their size, have smooth skin, and are fragrant.
- Use a sharp knife: A sharp knife will help you cut the ladyfingers neatly and evenly.
- Don't overcook the ladyfingers: Overcooked ladyfingers will become tough and dry. Cook them just until they are golden brown and crispy on the edges.
- Let the ladyfingers cool completely: Before assembling the dessert, let the ladyfingers cool completely to room temperature. This will help them absorb the lemon syrup better.
- Make sure the lemon syrup is cold: The lemon syrup should be cold when you pour it over the ladyfingers. This will help the syrup set quickly and evenly.
- Chill the dessert before serving: Chilling the dessert for at least 2 hours before serving will help the flavors meld together and the dessert will be more refreshing.
