Tips:

  • Use fresh lemons: Fresh lemons provide the best flavor for lemon jelly candies. If you don't have fresh lemons, you can use bottled lemon juice, but the flavor will be less intense.
  • Don't overcook the jelly: The jelly should be cooked until it reaches the soft-ball stage, which is about 220 degrees Fahrenheit (104 degrees Celsius). If you overcook the jelly, it will be too hard and chewy.
  • Use a candy thermometer: A candy thermometer is essential for making sure that the jelly is cooked to the right temperature. If you don't have a candy thermometer, you can use the cold water test. To do this, drop a small amount of the jelly into a bowl of cold water. If the jelly forms a soft ball that holds its shape, it is ready.
  • Let the jelly cool completely before cutting it: The jelly needs to cool completely before you can cut it into pieces. If you cut it too soon, it will be sticky and difficult to handle.
  • Store the jelly in an airtight container: The jelly can be stored in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 weeks. You can also store the jelly in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.

Conclusion:

Lemon jelly candies are a delicious and easy-to-make treat. They are perfect for parties, picnics, or just a sweet snack. With a few simple ingredients and a little bit of time, you can make your own delicious lemon jelly candies at home.
