Tips:

  • Choose firm and ripe oranges for the salad. This will ensure that the oranges are juicy and flavorful.
  • Use a sharp knife to cut the oranges. This will help to prevent the oranges from tearing.
  • If you don't have a zester, you can use a Microplane grater to zest the oranges.
  • Be careful not to overcook the oranges. The oranges should be cooked until they are just tender, but not mushy.
  • Allow the oranges to cool completely before frosting them. This will help the frosting to set properly.
  • If you don't have a pastry bag, you can use a ziplock bag with the corner cut off to pipe the frosting onto the oranges.

Conclusion:

Lemon Frosted Orange Salad is a refreshing and delicious dessert that is perfect for any occasion. The oranges are cooked in a simple syrup until they are tender, then frosted with a tangy lemon frosting. The salad is then sprinkled with chopped nuts and served chilled. This salad is sure to be a hit with everyone who tries it!
