Tips:

  • To make the perfect lemon curd, use fresh lemon juice and zest. Using bottled lemon juice will give the curd a sour taste.
  • Use a heavy-bottomed saucepan to make the lemon curd. This will help to prevent the curd from burning.
  • Cook the lemon curd over low heat, stirring constantly. This will help to prevent the curd from curdling.
  • Do not overcook the lemon curd. The curd is done when it has thickened and coats the back of a spoon.
  • Strain the lemon curd through a fine-mesh sieve to remove any lumps.
  • Chill the lemon curd for at least 2 hours before serving. This will help to develop the flavor and texture of the curd.
  • When making the hoisin chops, use a good quality hoisin sauce. This will make a big difference in the flavor of the dish.
  • Marinate the chops in the hoisin sauce for at least 30 minutes. This will help to tenderize the chops and infuse them with flavor.
  • Cook the chops over medium heat. This will help to prevent them from burning.
  • Serve the chops immediately with the lemon curd. The tartness of the lemon curd will complement the sweetness of the hoisin sauce.

Conclusion:

Lemon curd and hoisin chops are a delicious and easy-to-make dish. The lemon curd is a versatile condiment that can be used on pancakes, waffles, French toast, yogurt, or ice cream.
