Tips:

  • Choose the right tilapia. Look for tilapia fillets that are firm and have a mild, sweet flavor. Avoid fillets that are thin or have a strong fishy smell.
  • Use fresh lemon juice. Fresh lemon juice will give your tilapia a brighter, more flavorful taste than bottled lemon juice.
  • Don't overcook the tilapia. Tilapia is a delicate fish, so it's important to cook it just until it's cooked through. Overcooked tilapia will be dry and tough.
  • Use a flavorful butter. A good-quality butter will add richness and flavor to your tilapia. You can use unsalted butter or salted butter, depending on your preference.
  • Toast the almonds. Toasting the almonds will bring out their flavor and make them more crunchy.
  • Serve the tilapia immediately. Tilapia is best served immediately after it's cooked. If you need to keep it warm, you can place it in a low oven (200 degrees Fahrenheit) for up to 15 minutes.

Conclusion:

This lemon butter tilapia with almonds is a simple but delicious dish that's perfect for a weeknight meal. The tilapia is cooked to perfection and the lemon butter sauce is flavorful and rich. The toasted almonds add a nice crunchy texture and nutty flavor. This dish is sure to please everyone at your table.
