Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350°.
- Mix 1st layer ingredients and pour into a greased or sprayed 9x13 cake pan and set aside.
- Next, mix 2nd layer ingredients and spoon gently over the 1st layer until its covered (this layer can be piped on using a icing bag, I find its easier than spreading).
- Last, using a butter knife, cut into the layers as if you were swirling it to mix it, so that some of the 2nd layer goes close to the bottom of the pan. (I make several "S" shaped strokes).
- Bake Brownies for 35 minutes and turn off the oven, but leave Brownies in the oven for 10 minutes more.
- Remove from the oven and let Brownies cool completely!
- Slice and enjoy.
- These Brownies can be refrigerated for up to a week.
- They are delicious cold and taste like Lemon Cheesecake!

LEMON MOUSSE CHOCOLATE BROWNIES
Very rich with the tang of lemon. Beautiful combination of flavors. I have also used the microwave instead of a double boiler to melt the chocolate and it works just fine. You can also drizzle melted chocolate over top if desired for even more chocolate punch!

- When well blended, pour over first layer.

Tips:
- Choose the right lemons: Meyer lemons are the best choice for these brownies, as they have a sweeter and less tart flavor than regular lemons. If you can't find Meyer lemons, you can use regular lemons, but be sure to reduce the amount of lemon juice by half.
- Use unsalted butter: Unsalted butter is always the best choice for baking, as it allows you to control the amount of salt in the recipe. If you only have salted butter, be sure to omit the additional salt called for in the recipe.
- Don't overmix the batter: Overmixing the batter will result in tough brownies. Mix just until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the brownies until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached: Overbaking will result in dry brownies.
- Let the brownies cool completely before frosting them: This will help to prevent the frosting from melting.
- Store the brownies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days: You can also freeze the brownies for up to 2 months.
Conclusion:
These lemon brownies are the perfect treat for any occasion. They're moist, flavorful, and have the perfect balance of sweet and tart. Plus, they're easy to make and can be enjoyed by people of all ages. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy dessert, give these lemon brownies a try. You won't be disappointed!
