Time 1h5m

Number Of Ingredients 6

2 c leftover veggies, corn, green beans, broccoli, whatever you have on hand
3 c chopped turkey, or chicken
1 can(s) cream of chicken, celery, or mushroom soup
1/2 c sour cream
2 c leftover stuffing, or ( 6 ounce) stuffing mix of your choice
1 1/2 c shredded cheese, your choice..i used swiss and cheddar

Steps:

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350 degree
  • 2. Spread your turkey or chicken into an ungreased 13×9 baking dish. Cover with the vegetables. Stir together soup, sour cream and all but a 1/2 cup of cheese, and spread mixture over the vegetables. If using leftover stuffing add this as the next layer in your casserole. If using a stuffing mix, stir together the mix and 3/4 hot water and sprinkle this over top of the soup/cream cheese/ cheese mixture. Spread the remaining cheese evenly to the top of casserole and bake for 40 - 45 minutes or until nice and bubbly.

Tips:

  • Use a variety of Thanksgiving leftovers to create a flavorful casserole. Turkey, ham, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and green beans are all great options.
  • Don't be afraid to get creative with your ingredients. If you have any leftover cranberry sauce, add it to the casserole for a tart and tangy flavor. Or, if you have any leftover gravy, use it to make a creamy sauce for the casserole.
  • Make sure to season the casserole well. Salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder are all good options. You can also add some fresh herbs, such as thyme or rosemary, for extra flavor.
  • Bake the casserole until it is heated through and bubbly. This usually takes about 30 minutes.
  • Serve the casserole hot, with your favorite sides. Mashed potatoes, green beans, and cranberry sauce are all great options.

Conclusion:

A leftover Thanksgiving casserole is a great way to use up all of your holiday leftovers. It's a delicious and easy-to-make dish that the whole family will love. So next time you have a lot of Thanksgiving leftovers, don't let them go to waste. Make a casserole instead!
