Tips:
- Select firm, moist fish fillets: Look for fillets that are opaque in color, firm to the touch, and have a mild, fresh scent. Avoid fillets that are discolored, slimy, or have a strong fishy odor.
- Pat the fish fillets dry before cooking: This will help to prevent the fish from steaming and ensure that it gets a nice, crispy sear.
- Use a non-stick skillet or cooking spray: This will help to prevent the fish from sticking to the pan and breaking apart.
- Cook the fish over medium heat: This will help to prevent the fish from overcooking and becoming dry.
- Cook the fish until it is opaque throughout: The fish is done cooking when it is no longer translucent and flakes easily with a fork.
- Serve the fish immediately: Orange roughy is best served hot, so it is important to serve it immediately after it is cooked.
Conclusion:
Orange roughy is a delicious and versatile fish that can be prepared in a variety of ways.
