LAZY GOBLIN POPCORN BALLS
This recipe is much easier & quicker to make than the traditional version. The marshmallows not only give the popcorn balls a different flavour but make them chewy, too. I call them "goblin" popcorn balls because I did them up for the Trick or Treaters this year - wrapped them in green plastic wrap & tied with gold ribbon.

POPCORN BALLS
My mother used to make these on Halloween for the trick-or-treaters (back when people didn't automatically throw out anything not factory-sealed) and the word would spread and kids would come to our house from all over to get them. She made some one year for a Christmas charity bazaar and they were such a hit, the next year they asked her to make a few more...and then more...until she was making 1,200 of them for a three-day bazaar, and they still sold out!

OLD FASHIONED POPCORN BALLS
I made these with my grandmother for years. They are soft and delicious- and NOT made with marshmallow fluff! If using bag popcorn- make sure it is not buttered and use 2-3 bags.

Our whole family loves popcorn. These old-time popcorn balls are great anytime, but they're especially fun to pass out to trick-or-treaters or to use at Christmastime as stocking stuffers! JELLO POPCORN BALLS
My dad's aunt would make these for Christmas every year for him and mail them....now it's my job! If you over cook they will be hard as a rock so be careful.

Tips for Making Lazy Goblin Popcorn Balls:
- Use fresh popcorn. Popcorn that is more than a few days old will not be as crispy and will not hold together as well. - Use a large pot to pop the popcorn. This will help to ensure that all of the kernels pop and that the popcorn does not burn. - Be careful not to overcook the popcorn. Overcooked popcorn will be tough and chewy. - Let the popcorn cool slightly before adding the other ingredients. This will help to prevent the popcorn from getting soggy. - Use a large bowl to mix the popcorn and the other ingredients. This will help to ensure that all of the popcorn is evenly coated. - Wet your hands before shaping the popcorn balls. This will help to prevent the popcorn from sticking to your hands. - Be careful not to over-pack the popcorn balls. If the popcorn balls are too tightly packed, they will be more likely to break apart. - Let the popcorn balls cool completely before enjoying. This will help to ensure that they hold together properly. Conclusion:
Lazy Goblin Popcorn Balls are a delicious and easy-to-make treat that is perfect for parties, potlucks, or a quick snack. With just a few simple ingredients, you can create a sweet and salty treat that is sure to please everyone. So next time you're looking for a fun and festive snack, give Lazy Goblin Popcorn Balls a try!
