1/2 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shortening
1-1/4 cups sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
2-1/4 cups all-purpose flour
4 teaspoons dried lavender flowers
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt

Steps:

  • Preheat oven to 375°. Cream butter, shortening and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in extracts.
