Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients: Fresh, flavorful ingredients will make a big difference in the taste of your dish.
- Don't skimp on the bacon: Bacon adds a delicious smoky flavor to baked beans. Use thick-cut bacon for the best results.
- Use a variety of beans: Different types of beans have different textures and flavors. Try using a combination of kidney beans, black beans, and pinto beans.
- Add some sweetness: A little bit of brown sugar or maple syrup will help to balance out the acidity of the tomatoes and vinegar.
- Season to taste: Baked beans should be flavorful, but not too salty or sweet. Add salt, pepper, and other spices to taste.
- Let the beans simmer: The longer the beans simmer, the more flavorful they will be. Simmer for at least 1 hour, or up to 2 hours for the best results.
