Korean-Style Braised (Slow Cooker) Baby Back Ribs image

Slow cooker ribs inspired by my favorite Korean chef in the LA area, Roy Choi, whose cooking will oversaturate your taste buds. Flavor profile of this recipe 12/10. These remind me of your typical pot roast prep that your mom may have made growing up...if your mom happened to be a Korean man who went on to create the first fusion taco truck. Enjoy over a bed of steamed rice and your favorite banchan!

Tips:

  • For the best flavor, use high-quality pork baby back ribs.
  • If you don't have a meat mallet, you can use a rolling pin or the bottom of a heavy skillet to tenderize the ribs.
  • Be sure to marinate the ribs for at least 30 minutes, or up to overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat.
  • When grilling the ribs, cook them over indirect heat to prevent them from drying out.
  • Brush the ribs with the sauce frequently during the last 10 minutes of cooking to caramelize the sauce and give the ribs a nice glaze.
  • Let the ribs rest for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving to allow the juices to redistribute.

Conclusion:

Korean-style baby back ribs are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for any occasion. The ribs are tender and flavorful, and the sauce is sweet and tangy. Whether you are grilling, baking, or frying them, these ribs are sure to be a hit with your family and friends.
