KOREAN BAESUK FROZEN YOGURT (FOR ICE CREAM MAKER)
This frozen yogurt was inspired by the Korean traditional dessert, baesuk. (Traditional baesuk is peeled and sliced Korean pear cooked in water with black peppercorns, ginger and sugar, then garnished with ground pine nuts.) This frozen version of baesuk substitutes the creaminess of pine nuts with the smooth texture of yogurt.

Steps:
- First begin by peeling two Korean pears (aka Asian pears) and chopping into small pieces. Place the pear pieces together with a dash of lemon juice into a blender with just enough water as was necessary to grind them to a smooth mixture.
- Combine 16 oz of Greek yogurt (rBGH free) together with the Korean pear mixture and 1/2 cup sugar in the ice cream maker.
- While the mixture is churning in an ice cream maker, add 1-2 tsp ginger juice. Also add 1/2 tsp vanilla extract.
- After 30 mins of churning, the frozen baesuk yogurt will be ready to freeze in a freezer. Place into a plastic container and allow to freeze for at least four hours before serving.
ALMOST-FAMOUS FROZEN YOGURT
Mass hysteria seems to ensue whenever the frozen-yogurt chain Pinkberry opens one of its mod, pastel- colored shops. In 2005, when the first store arrived in West Hollywood, CA, lines snaked around the block and security guards were called in for crowd control. The commotion hasn't died down since. Fans are so faithful, they'll often wait up to half an hour for the specialty: tart, tangy, not-too-sweet frozen yogurt loaded with fresh fruit and oddball toppings like Fruity Pebbles and yogurt chips. Of course, at around $5 a cup plus $1 per topping, the soft-serve treat can take a toll on the wallet, which is why Victoria Edelman, from Randolph, NJ, wrote to us begging for the recipe. Pinkberry reps said they'd never divulge their secrets, so Food Network Kitchens designed this addictive copy.

KOREAN BBQ SAUCE
I was trying to come up with a homemade BBQ sauce for my wife since she doesn't like traditional BBQ. This is what I came up with. You could add this sauce to any kind of pork ribs.

VANILLA FROZEN YOGURT
This frozen yogurt is so much easier than homemade ice cream! Just so you know, this freezes a lot quicker than ice cream. Also, if you want tart frozen yogurt, feel free to decrease the sugar!

Tips:
- Use high-quality ingredients. This will make a big difference in the final product.
- Make sure your ice cream maker is frozen before you start churning. This will help the ice cream freeze faster and smoother.
- Churn the ice cream according to the manufacturer's instructions. Over-churning can make the ice cream icy.
- Transfer the ice cream to a freezer-safe container and freeze for at least 4 hours before serving. This will allow the ice cream to firm up and develop its full flavor.
- When you're ready to serve, let the ice cream soften for a few minutes before scooping. This will make it easier to scoop and will prevent it from crumbling.
