KOOL-AID JELLY (MANY FLAVORS) (FOR JELLY QUEEN)

Kool-Aid Jelly (Many Flavors) (For Jelly Queen) image

A quick jelly recipe with many flavors, how about Watermelon Kiwi or Arctic Green Apple, Black Cherry, yum, to name a few. You can also make an ice cream topping or syrup. Some Kool Aid flavors will not gel as quickly as others, I don't know why, this is a recent discovery. Use recipe Liquid Cement #151544 to get it to gel if it is still syrupy. I personally think there is some new ingredient in some of the flavors.I use dry pectin and unflavored gelatin. I have never had a problem but I live in a dry cold climate, maybe that effects the gelling.

  • Some flavors take longer to gel than others.
  • but there is a recipe that works to set or gell the jelly in the description of recipe.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT KOOL-AID

Absolutely Perfect Kool-Aid image

Who would have thought you could improve on the package directions of Kool-Aid? Well, you can! This is now my family's favourite way to prepare Kool-Aid, at one-and-a-half strength. We tried it at double-strength, but preferred this method, with this amount of sweetness. The extra flavour burst is particularly noticeable, we have found, with cherry, orange, and grape.

Number Of Ingredients 4

1 pkg unsweetened kool-aid, any flavor
1 pkg sure-jell pectin
3 c granulated sugar
3 c water

Steps:

  • 1. Mix water, Sure-Jell, and Kool-aid together in a large pot. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Stir in sugar. Stir and bring to a full rolling boil that can not be stirred down. Boil for 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Quickly skim off foam with a large metal spoon. Pour into jelly jars and seal. Make sure your jars seal properly.
  • 2. Our favorite is Mango-Pineapple. I use mango Kool-aid and 1 small flat can of crushed pineapple, drained.

Tips:

  • Use unflavored gelatin for all flavors except cherry. For cherry flavor, use cherry-flavored gelatin.
  • Add 2 envelopes of unflavored gelatin to each box of Kool-Aid.
  • Bring 2 cups of water to a boil, then remove from heat.
  • Stir in the Kool-Aid and gelatin mixture until dissolved.
  • Pour the mixture into a 9x13 inch pan and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
  • To make a layered jelly, use different flavors of Kool-Aid and gelatin. Pour each layer into the pan, allowing each layer to set before adding the next layer.
  • Serve the jelly chilled, with whipped cream or fruit.

Conclusion:

Kool-Aid jelly is a delicious and easy-to-make treat that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. With its variety of flavors and colors, Kool-Aid jelly is a perfect dessert for any occasion. Whether you are looking for a simple snack or a festive dessert, Kool-Aid jelly is sure to please.
