Tips:

  • Choose the right cut of steak: Sirloin is a good choice for this recipe, as it's flavorful and relatively affordable. However, you can also use other cuts of steak, such as ribeye or New York strip.
  • Make sure the steak is at room temperature before cooking: This will help it cook evenly.
  • Sear the steak over high heat: This will create a nice crust and help to lock in the juices.
  • Reduce the heat and cook the steak to your desired doneness: Use a meat thermometer to ensure that the steak is cooked to your liking.
  • Make the shallot butter while the steak is cooking: This will allow the flavors to meld together.
  • Let the steak rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving: This will help the juices redistribute throughout the steak.

Conclusion:

This Kona-crusted sirloin with shallot butter is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that is perfect for a special occasion. The steak is flavorful and juicy, and the shallot butter adds a rich and creamy flavor. Serve with your favorite sides, such as roasted vegetables or mashed potatoes.
