KITTENCAL'S WHITE CAKE

Kittencal's White Cake image

7-Up or Sprite is the secret ingredient that takes this cake to another level, do not allow the soda to go flat pour right from the bottle or can --- this cake bakes out beautiful with no dark over cooked edges --- I recommend to use diet soda regular is too sweet but regular will work fine also ---this also may be baked in two 8-inch round cake pans and it makes the perfect wedding cake!

I made this for my son when he was small and I still make it, it's so good and so easy just mix and freeze! ---two packages Kool-Aid should be fine but I always use 2-1/2 packages for a stronger flavor, I make this using either cherry, lime, orange, raspberry or strawberry Kool-Aid -- for reduced fat use all low-fat or fat-free milk but it will not be as creamy --- WARNING, this is very addicting be prepared to eat half at one sitting, servings are only esitmated :)

Tips:

  • Choose the right chocolate: For a rich and flavorful glaze, use high-quality white chocolate that contains at least 30% cocoa butter. Avoid using chocolate chips, as they contain stabilizers that can prevent the glaze from setting properly.
  • Temper the chocolate: Tempering helps to stabilize the chocolate, making it less likely to seize and giving it a smooth, glossy finish. To temper chocolate, melt it gently over a double boiler or in the microwave, stirring constantly. Once the chocolate is melted, remove it from the heat and stir in a small amount of unmelted chocolate until the mixture reaches a temperature of 88-90°F (31-32°C).
  • Use fresh cream: Fresh cream will give your glaze a rich, creamy flavor. Avoid using heavy cream, as it can make the glaze too thick and heavy.
  • Add flavorings: You can add a variety of flavorings to your glaze to create different flavor combinations. Some popular options include vanilla extract, almond extract, peppermint extract, and citrus zest.
  • Chill the glaze before using: Chilling the glaze will help it to set properly and give it a thicker consistency. You can chill the glaze in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes or overnight.

Conclusion:

With its rich, creamy flavor and smooth, glossy finish, this easy creamy white glaze is the perfect topping for a variety of desserts. Whether you're glazing cakes, cupcakes, cookies, or pastries, this glaze is sure to impress. So next time you're looking for a delicious and easy way to dress up your desserts, give this creamy white glaze a try. You won't be disappointed!
