- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter and flour a 9 x 12 x 1 1/2-inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter, 8 ounces of the chocolate chips, and the unsweetened chocolate together in a medium bowl set over simmering water. Allow to cool for 15 minutes. In a large bowl, stir (do not beat) together the eggs, coffee, vanilla, and sugar. Stir the chocolate mixture into the egg mixture and allow to cool to room temperature (see note below).
- In a medium bowl, sift together 1/2 cup of the flour, the baking powder, and salt and add to the chocolate mixture. Toss the remaining 6 ounces of chocolate chips and the remaining 2 tablespoons of flour in a medium bowl and add them to the chocolate mixture. Spread evenly in the prepared pan.
- Bake for 35 minutes, until a toothpick comes out clean. Don't overbake!
- As soon as the brownies are out of the oven, place the jar of caramel sauce without the lid in a microwave and heat just until it's pourable. Stir until smooth. Drizzle the caramel evenly over the hot brownies and sprinkle with the sea salt. Cool completely and cut into 12 bars.

Steps:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a 9-by-9-inch baking pan.
- Begin by pouring 1/3 cup evaporated milk into a bowl with the cake mix. Add the melted butter and the chopped pecans. Mix the ingredients together; it'll be pretty thick!
- Divide the dough in half down the middle. Press half of it into the bottom of the prepared pan to make the first brownie layer. Bake until slightly set, 8 to 10 minutes. Then remove from the oven and set aside.
- While the brownie layer is baking, in a double boiler (or glass bowl set over a bowl of simmering water) combine the caramels and the remaining 1/2 cup evaporated milk. Stir occasionally until the caramels are totally melted and the mixture is smooth. Pour the caramel mixture over the first baked layer, spreading so it's evenly distributed. Sprinkle the chocolate chips all over the top.
- Next, on a clean surface or a sheet of waxed paper, press the remaining dough into a square shape slightly smaller than the baking pan. Carefully set it on top of the chocolate chips. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool to room temperature. Cover the pan and refrigerate the brownies for several hours to allow them to set.
- When you're ready to serve them (or give them to someone you love!) sprinkle generously with the powdered sugar and cut them into large rectangles before removing from the pan. These are absolutely killer, my friends. Make them for someone you really, really love... or someone you want to love you back.
- It'll work. Guarantee it.

KILLER BROWNIES
Number Of Ingredients 8
Steps:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease the bottom and sides of a 9-by-9-inch baking pan.
- Whip ¼ pound plus 4 tablespoons of the butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Blend the cake mix, evaporated milk, water and ½ cup of the walnut pieces with the whipped butter to make a smooth, thick batter.
- Spoon half the batter into the baking pan. Bake until the top appears dry and firm, 25 to 30 minutes. Meanwhile, cover the remaining batter and set it aside in the refrigerator. Remove the pan from the oven and let it cool to room temperature.
- Spread ¾ cup of the caramel topping evenly over the brownies. Sprinkle ⅓ cup of the chocolate chips evenly over the caramel. Cover the baking pan with foil and put it in the freezer until the caramel becomes firm. Reheat the oven to 350 degrees. Remove the remaining brownie batter from the refrigerator and let it come to room temperature.
- Remove the baking pan from the freezer and spoon the remaining brownie batter evenly over the caramel. Sprinkle the remaining ¼ cup of the walnut pieces evenly over the batter. Return the brownie pan to the oven and bake it until the top appears dry and firm, an additional 25 to 30 minutes. Remove the pan from the oven and let the brownies cool.
- Melt the remaining ⅓ cup of chocolate chips in a saucepan. Stir in the remaining 1 tablespoon of butter until smooth. Drizzle the chocolate over the cooled brownies. Heat the remaining ¼ cup of caramel topping in the microwave until it can be easily poured, about 20 seconds. Drizzle it over the brownies. Refrigerate for 1 hour. Dust the brownies generously with confectioners' sugar. To serve, cut into pieces and remove from the pan. Makes 9 or 16 brownies.
Tips:
- Use high-quality chocolate. The better the chocolate, the better the brownies will taste. Look for chocolate with a cocoa content of at least 70%.
- Don't overmix the batter. Overmixing will develop the gluten in the flour, which will make the brownies tough. Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined.
- Bake the brownies until they are just set. Overbaking will make the brownies dry. The brownies are done when a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with just a few moist crumbs attached.
- Let the brownies cool completely before cutting them. This will help them to hold their shape and prevent them from crumbling.
Conclusion:
These killer brownies are the perfect dessert for any occasion. They are rich, chocolatey, and fudgy, with a crispy crust and a chewy center. With the tips and tricks above, you can be sure that your brownies will turn out perfect every time. So next time you have a sweet craving, give this recipe a try. You won't be disappointed!
